EPHEMERAL STUDIES

EPHEMERAL STUDIES

Between a European metropolis and an island of Cyclades, between urban and rural space, I explore my direct environment and I discover certain analogies: a continuous transformation that leaves as many material traces in the space in the city as in the countryside. Residues of human activity, materials considered useless or rejected, ordinary and worthless things, allow me to explore the correlations between my two spaces of life and work, urban and natural space.

2020 – LAND ART REVISITED

Is there one and only one notion of space, of monumentality, of nature itself?
If confinement means drawing the boundaries around something, delimiting it, during the period of confinement between March and April 2020, I revisited five contemporary works of art related to land art.
This short personal experimentation allowed me to explore the limits of creation in a small space without sky, nor expanse, nor shadow cast by natural light.

2015 – CARRÉ MAGIQUE

The inscription of a Magic Square in the public space is an invitation to a mental and physical encounter with the work and its space: crossing its surface, decoding its language, interacting and playing. In this square, the numbers are arranged in such a way that their sums on each row, on each column and on each diagonal are equal. Drawn with white lime directly on the ground like a sketch, the square gradually fades and disappears over time.
